Privacy policy

Your research should remain yours.

This policy explains what information MarketSense handles during the beta, why it is needed, and the choices available to you.

Effective August 15, 2026

Plain-language summary: MarketSense uses profile, workspace, and technical information to provide and secure the service. Your private workspace is not made public by default. MarketSense is still in beta, so please do not submit information you are not authorized to share.

1. What this policy covers

This policy covers the MarketSense website, beta workspace, AI-assisted research features, decision briefs, and related support communications. Third-party websites and data sources linked from MarketSense have their own privacy practices.

2. Information we handle

Profile and organization information

We may handle your name, work email, organization, role, account identifiers, membership, and access permissions.

Workspace and research content

We handle the questions, prompts, dashboards, notes, saved conversations, uploaded or entered material, scenarios, and report drafts you choose to create.

Usage and technical information

We may receive browser and device information, IP address, timestamps, pages or features used, diagnostic events, and security logs needed to operate and protect the beta.

Billing information

When you use a paid feature, MarketSense may handle billing contact details and Stripe identifiers for the customer, checkout, order, subscription, invoice, payment status, entitlement, and usage event. Stripe processes payment-card details in its hosted checkout; MarketSense does not receive or store your full card number or card security code.

Communications

We keep information you send when requesting access, support, deletion, or other assistance.

3. How we use information

  • Provide profiles, organization-isolated workspaces, saved research, and requested reports.
  • Retrieve evidence, generate AI-assisted responses, and preserve the context needed for your requested workflow.
  • Authenticate users, prevent misuse, investigate incidents, and maintain service reliability.
  • Understand beta usage, diagnose defects, and improve usability and evidence quality.
  • Respond to support requests and communicate material service or policy changes.
  • Create checkout sessions, reconcile payments, provide purchased access, manage renewals or cancellations, prevent duplicate fulfillment, and maintain billing records.
  • Meet legal obligations and protect MarketSense, its users, and others.

4. AI-assisted processing

When you use AI-assisted features, the prompt, relevant workspace context, and selected evidence may be processed by service providers that help generate the requested response. MarketSense may also store the resulting conversation when the product indicates that it will be saved.

Do not submit trade secrets, regulated personal data, material nonpublic information, or third-party confidential information unless you are authorized to do so and the beta is approved for that use.

5. When information may be shared

MarketSense may share information with infrastructure, authentication, communications, analytics, security, AI, and payment service providers that support the product. Stripe receives the billing and payment information needed to provide hosted checkout, payment processing, receipts or invoices, fraud prevention, and the customer billing portal. These providers receive only the access reasonably needed for their role.

Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect safety or rights, to investigate misuse, or as part of a business reorganization where appropriate protections continue to apply. A private workspace is not intentionally published or shared with another customer by default.

6. Retention and deletion

We retain information while an account or beta workspace is active and for a reasonable period afterward when needed for security, backups, dispute resolution, or legal obligations. Billing, transaction, entitlement, and webhook-reconciliation records may be retained longer when required for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, chargeback, or legal purposes. Backup copies may take additional time to expire.

To request access, correction, export, or deletion, email support@marketsense.market. We may need to verify the request and preserve information we are legally required to keep.

7. Security and beta limitations

MarketSense uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Because the product is in beta, features, providers, and safeguards may evolve as the platform is tested and hardened.

8. Age, location, and policy changes

MarketSense is a business research service and is not directed to children under 18. Service providers may process information in locations other than where you live.

We may update this policy as the beta changes. Material updates will be reflected by a new effective date and, when appropriate, an in-product or email notice.
